RCB vs SRH Scorecard, IPL 2024, Match 30 Highlights: Dinesh Karthik's 83 in vain as Travis Head's century leads Sunrisers Hyderabad to victory

The 30th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 took place between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The game between the two teams took place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Monday (15th April). 

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) thumped Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 25 runs at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. They batted and bowled tremendously well and registered their 4th win of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.

Sunrisers Hyderabad were asked to bat first and they made sure that they made mockery of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru bowling lineup. Travis Head (102) stole the limelight with his brutal century at the top of the order at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. 

Abhishek Sharma (32) supported him well at the top as the duo added 108 runs for the opening partnership. After the first wicket, Heinrich Klaasen (67) stole the limelight and made sure that he continued his purple patch in the league and took his team to a big total. 

Travis Head and Klaasen entertained the crowd pretty well as they added 57 runs for the second wicket. After the duo got out, it was Aiden Markram and Abdul Samad, who made sure that they took the game completely away from the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. 

Aiden Markram (32*) and Abdul Samad (37*) hit almost every bowler out of the park. The duo stitched together an unbeaten 56-run partnership as Sunrisers Hyderabad ended with a gigantic total of 287 runs on the board in the 30th game of the Indian Premier League 2024. 

For Royal Challengers Bengaluru, every bowler was taken to the cleaners and had an economy rate of over 10. Lockie Ferguson was the pick of the bowlers with his figures of 2/52. Apart from him only Reece Topley picked wickets whereas others failed to chip in with the ball at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

RCB vs SRH IPL 2024 Match 30: Royal Challengers Bengaluru innings: Dinesh Karthik, Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli put up a great fight 

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) were off to a blistering start with the bat as Virat Kohli (42) and Faf du Plessis (62) took the Sunrisers Hyderabad to cleaners right from the start. They added 80 runs for the opening partnership but after that, nothing went their way. 

Royal Challengers Bengaluru kept losing wickets at regular intervals but Dinesh Karthik kept them in the hunt. The keeper-batter played a magnificent innings and made sure that he fought till the very end for his team. He gave a real scare to the SRH bowlers with his brutal power-hitting. 

Dinesh Karthik ended with an innings of 83 runs. Whereas Anuj Rawat (25*) also tried his best but in the end target was too much for them to chase. Royal Challengers Bengaluru ended with a total of 262 runs and lost the game by the margin of 25 runs to bag their 5th straight loss.
