Delhi Capitals will be eyeing a much-needed win tonight when they take on Gujarat Titans in the 32nd game of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The national capital-based outfit's campaign has not hit the top gear so far. As a result, the team is currently languishing at the bottom of the points table with just two wins from six games. They started their season with two losses in a row before winning the third game against reigning champions Chennai Super Kings to get off the mark in style.

However, the Rishabh Pant-led side could not capitalize on the winning momentum and suffered losses in the following two games. In their last game, they registered a much-needed victory over Lucknow Super Giants. It was an impressive win from DC and they will be looking to make the most of the momentum against GT.

David Warner unavailable:

While DC would be desperate to register a win tonight against Gujarat Titans, they will have to do it without their former captain and star opener David Warner. Captain Rishabh Pant confirmed at the toss that the veteran batsman would not be playing the game.

The Australia star is sidelined with a finger injury. He had sustained the injury while batting in the last game against Lucknow Super Giants. DC have recalled allrounder Sumit Kumar in their playing eleven.

"We'll bowl first. It's an unknown wicket, our batting is strong and we would want to chase, there could be some dew in the second innings as well. We'll have to play good cricket, just taking one match at a time," said Rishabh Pant after winning the toss.

"Death bowling has been a little concern, but at the same time, the bowlers are getting better with every match. We're looking at gaining some momentum. We're playing almost the same team - David Warner is sitting out, Sumit Kumar is back," he added.

With Warner sidelined, Jake Fraser-McGurk is likely to open the innings for DC against GT. The Australian youngster made his IPL debut in the last game against LSG and hit the ground running by scoring a match-winning fifty.

DC Playing XI:

Prithvi Shaw, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Tristan Stubbs, Shai Hope, Rishabh Pant(w/c), Axar Patel, Sumit Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Ishant Sharma, Mukesh Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed
