We wanted a win badly- Rishabh Pant
Delhi Capitals grabbed their second victory in IPL 2024 after defeating Lucknow Super Giants in their last match. Speaking after the match, Rishabh Pant said they wanted a win badly.
“Little relief, we wanted a win badly. I was talking to the boys saying we need to think like champions, we need to keep fighting hard. We have phases where we are not up to the mark, some individuals have to take responsibility for that. However, we stick together as a group. Some things you can control, some things we can't”, the wicketkeeper-batsman said.
Pant also added that DC has found a new No.3 batter in the form of Jake Fraser-McGurk. The Aussie batter stormed a half-century in his debut IPL game vs LSG.
“I think we are getting closer to the right XI, but we've had so many injuries in this group. However, you can't keep complaining about that. Hopefully, we've found our new number 3 (Fraser-McGurk), haven't thought too much about it. Hope he can continue”, the Delhi Capitals skipper further said.

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant needs to buckle up his team Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024 after a miserable start. The 2019 runners-up have lost 4 games out of 6 in IPL 2024 so far. They take the 9th spot in the points table with 4 points. They will next clash with Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad.
