The RR vs LSG IPL 2024 match will be played in Jaipur from 3.30 pm IST. This is the first of the two games on a Super Sunday. Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians kick off their campaign in the evening game on Sunday as well.

Rajasthan Royals will be led by Sanju Samson. The Royals finished fifth on the table after making it to the finals of IPL 2022. They narrowly missed their opportunity to make the knockouts last year.

The southpaw scored 712 runs in the recently concluded Test series against England and that will give the franchise a lot of hope. He came to his own in international cricket since his debut last year and made the most of his opportunities.

KL Rahul’s Lucknow Super Giants have a new coach in Justin Langer. The side made two back-to-back playoffs under KL Rahul’s captaincy last season. Rahul too has flourished with the bat for the franchise scoring 890 runs for the franchise in 24 matches, including two centuries.

This year though he will bat in the middle-order preferably at number four and will be auditioning for the role of a keeper-batsman for the T20 World Cup. There are reports that he has been asked to take up that role by the BCCI bosses. He will be up against Sanju Samson who will be auditioning for the same role.

While the Royals have specialist players for specific roles, LSG is a side that banks on their all-rounders to perform along with their specialist players. Thus the battle will be a riveting one come Sunday in Jaipur.

Star Sports has bagged the broadcast rights of IPL 202. Disney Star had won India TV rights of IPL for a bid of Rs 23,575 crores. Thus all matches of IPL 2024 will be broadcast across all Star Sports channels.
