Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) pacer Mohmmed Siraj put in hard yards in the net session ahead of the game against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The game between the two teams will take place on Saturday (6th April) in Jaipur. 

The match against Rajasthan Royals will be extremely crucial for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru as they haven't played their best cricket in the league so far. It will be a great opportunity for the Faf du Plessis-led team to stage a comeback in the league and get back on the winning track after two back-to-back defeats. 

With the game between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru a few hours away from now, the Faf du Plessis-led side put in a great effort in the net session. But one player who stole the limelight was Mohammed Siraj. The fast bowler not with his bowling but batting impressed head coach Andy Flower and other teammates in the net session. 

Mohammed Siraj hit big sixes and timed the ball to perfection. The fast bowler also came down the track and hit some lofty cover drives. He seemed to be high on confidence and his batting left head coach Andy Flower in awe and made him even mock the pacer hilariously. 

Andy Flower stated that after two sixes the pacer thinks that he is a batter now. Speaking in a video posted on the Twitter account of Royal Challengers Bengaluru, he stated: 

"Two sixes and now all of a sudden you are a batsman?"

When asked if he would consider Siraj as an opening option for RCB. He stated:

"Well, I tell you what, those were quality shots. Although if he went opening, he won't get all pitched on the front foot so much, I don't think!"

Mohammed Siraj after the batting session made sure that he took a dig at his teammates over his batting. He was heard flaunting that he has a batting average of 16. The fast bowler said: "Solah ki average hai, dekhte hain (I have an average of 16, let's see)." 

Reacting to his comments, Mahipal Lomror said: "Miyan bhai, kya khele ho bhai."

It is a matter of one match - Mohammed Siraj on RCB's performance 

Recently Mohammed Siraj talked about RCB's below-par season so far in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. He believes that it's only a matter of one match and they will be back in the tournament. He backed Kohli, Maxwell, and Du Plessis to come good. Speaking to RCB, he stated: 

"Look, it is a matter of one match. If these three KGF do well in a game, then nothing can stop us alright. And as far as the bowling department is concerned, it is also a matter of one match. If things go well in one match then everything else will be aligned." 

Mohammed Siraj so far hasn't been at his best in the IPL 2024. The fast bowler has picked up just three wickets in the 4 games. He would be keen to make a comeback and help his team win the game against Rajasthan Royals.
