Avesh Khan is all set to play for the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2024. The franchise traded him in for Devdutt Padikkal, who switched over to Lucknow Super Giants. Avesh played for LSG in IPL 2022 and 2023.

In his two years with the franchise, the pacer picked up 18 wickets in 2022 and just 8 in IPL 2023. His best year in the IPL was in 2021 when he picked up 21 wickets. The MP pacer has been playing in the IPL since 2017.

Impressive season in IPL 2022 earned him an India debut across the two white-ball formats. He has played 8 ODI games and 20 T20I matches since making his debut for the Indian team in 2022. However, various injuries prevented him from flourishing his career for India.

Avesh Khan joined the Rajasthan Royals ahead of the start of the season. He has already joined the Royals camp and was asked to answer a few fun questions. He was part of the game that was called ABC hosted by a famous Instagram influencer.

His first question was “Who finishes off in style” with the options being MS Dhoni, KS Bharat, Papa ki belt, or Jonny Sins which was the fun option in the question.

Keeping a cool head himself, Avesh picked MS Dhoni as his answer which did fit the bill. His second question was what would you find from his kitbag with the options a helmet, Nimbu Mirchi, a chequer of Rs 10 crores, or Gautam Gambhir’s contact number?

Keeping the intensity of the question on, he responded with option A helmet as his answer. The reference to this question was about the celebration that he did after throwing his helmet off after winning the match for LSG against RCB last year.

His response in a way led to the third and final question which was whom Avesk Khan fears the most with the options being no-ball, wide-ball, full toss, or the RCB fans.

Understanding the trick, Avesh Khan was quick to respond that he fears the RCB fans the most since winning the match against RCB last year. He managed to run a bye with LSG needing one off one ball with Ravi Bishnoi at the other end. He was penalized by the IPL for throwing away his helmet while celebrating after taking his team to victory.

Avesh will now want to make the most of this IPL season with the T20 World Cup on the horizon. Speaking about Rajasthan Royals, they have managed to get together a strong squad.

The Royals roped in five players in the IPL 2024 auction, namely Rovman Powell (Rs. 7.4 crores), Shubham Dubey (Rs. 5.80 crores), Tom Kohler-Cadmore (Rs. 40 lakhs), Abid Mushtaq (Rs. 20 lakhs), Nandre Burger (Rs. 50 lakh). Powell looks like the only player likely to get to play a game this season, as the Royals have a settled combination.

The 2022 finalists are yet to win the IPL since winning it in 2008. They finished fifth last season with seven wins and as many losses.
