Chennai Super Kings fans paid tribute to Ravindra Jadeja during the match against the Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League 2024. The tribute to Ravindra Jadeja coincided with Rachin Ravindra’s remarkable performance, causing some confusion among spectators.
The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led team clinched a 63-run victory at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Tuesday, March 26. The Chennai-based team secured their second consecutive victory in the ongoing season and retained their place at the top of the table.
Ahead of the recent match at Chepauk, social media buzzed with news of CSK fans planning to play a tribute for Ravindra Jadeja. This tribute commemorated the all-rounder’s remarkable contributions during the final match of the previous year’s IPL in Ahmedabad.
Jadeja played a crucial role in Chennai’s victory against Gujarat in the IPL 2023 final, scoring an unbeaten 15 runs off six balls. The southpaw hit a six and a four off the last two balls off Mohit Sharma’s bowling, securing the CSK team’s record-equalling fifth IPL title.

However, the tribute moment coincided with New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra hitting boundaries, causing confusion among the fans. The left-handed opening batter’s impressive hitting heightened the jubilant atmosphere for the team and its supporters.
