Faf du Plessis, on Tuesday, took a brilliant catch to dismiss Ayush Badoni in the ongoing game between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Lucknow Super Giants at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

After failing to score on the first two balls he faced, Ayush Badoni was under pressure and decided to go for the big shot. However, he probably picked the wrong shot. Yash Dayal bowled a slower bouncer outside the off stump and Badoni decided to hit it over extra covers.

With no good pace on the ball, he could not hit the ball far although it looked like the ball would land safely. However, Faf du Plessis had other ideas. The RCB skipper sprinted back and dived to take the catch with both hands. He did well to keep the ball safe in his hands even after hitting the ground.

De Kock scored 81 off 56 balls with the help of eight fours and five sixes. On the other hand, the likes of KL Rahul (20) and Marcus Stoinis (24) got the start but failed to convert them while Devdutt Padikkal’s (6) poor run continued. Towards the end, Nicholas Pooran scored an unbeaten 40 off 21 balls to guide his team to a 180-plus total.

For RCB, Glenn Maxwell picked up two wickets while conceding only 23 runs in his four overs while Reece Topley, Yash Dayal, and Mohammed Siraj picked up one wicket each.
