Indian captain Rohit Sharma, who is currently on duty with Mumbai Indians for the Indian Premier League 2024 edition, was spotted playing Holi along with his wife and daughter. In a video clip, which is now going viral all over social media, Rohit can be seen enjoying the festival of colors with his fellow MI teammates at the team hotel. After the Holi celebration, the team is expected to fly over to Hyderabad for their 2nd league stage match.

Rohit Sharma, after scoring 43 off 29 against Gujarat Titans in Mumbai’s IPL 2024 opener last night at the Narendra Modi stadium, indulged in Holi rituals earlier today. MI are fresh off the loss against GT by 6 runs, that too from a winning position. Both the teams went back and forth in the final 6 overs of the match with many twists and turns appearing appearing as well.

But at the end of the day, it was Shubman Gill, the captain of Gujarat who had the last laugh against his former skipper Hardik and national team captain Rohit Sharma. Yesterday’s match was nothing less than a blockbuster evening where there was everything – from homecoming to hatred.

In the 2-minute long video clip, Rohit Sharma can be seen applying colors to his daughter’s face and can be seen having a laugh with his wife Ritika Sajdeh. Then the Indian captain was seen aiming with a water gun towards his daughter and that was perhaps the most special moment from his Holi celebrations.

Then his Mumbai Indians teammates can be seen taking center stage including captain Hardik Pandya, who too, after a disappointing start to his tenure as full-time captain, was seen enjoying. Since the video is quite blurred it cannot be guessed as to who that player was over which some of the MI players fell over and were pouring water all over.

Being the senior most in the team, no one was really interested in applying colors aggressively on Rohit Sharma who was mostly roaming around in the video clip. In another clip, newly-appointed captain Hardik Pandya was seen approaching Rohit Sharma’s wife and sharing a warm hug with her.

It definitely will give the MI team some time to regroup and recharge ahead of their 2nd IPL clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 27.

Both the teams will be searching for their first win of the new season as the Sunrisers too had lost their opening match against Kolkata Knight Riders from a winning position. But all eyes will be on Rohit Sharma as well who had a fiery start to his IPL 2024 campaign and he will look to continue his form in the next matches. His aim will be to amass as many runs as possible so that he enters the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in good form.
