All eyes will be on Rinku Singh in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) after his stunning performance in the last edition of the competition. The highly-rated batsman finally announced his arrival on the big stage by doing well in IPL 2023.

In an otherwise poor campaign for his team Kolkata Knight Riders, Rinku Singh’s performance stood out. In 14 games, he scored 474 runs at a strike rate of almost 150 and an average of more than 59. More than the runs, Rinku Singh made a big impression with his consistency and finishing skills.

He scored more than 40 runs in an innings seven times in 14 games and scored four half-centuries. Throughout the tournament, he bailed KKR several times. He also played one of the best T20 knocks of all time last year when he smashed Yash Dayal for five sixes in a row in the final over to snatch a miraculous win for his team.

The stunning outing in IPL 2023 paved the way for his entry into international cricket and he hit the ground running for Team India as well.

At present, he has become an important member of the Indian T20 team and looks set to be a part of the squad for this year’s T20 World Cup. In 15 T20Is so far, he has scored an impressive 356 runs at an average of 89 and a strike-rate of more than 175.

Unsurprisingly, hopes are sky-high for Rinku Singh in IPL 2024 and it looks like the left-handed batsman is ready to have another impressive campaign.

The KKR star is looking in fine touch ahead of the season as a video of his brilliant batting against Mitchell Starc has left many impressed. In the video which is from KKR’s intra-squad practice match, Rinku Singh could be seen hitting the left-arm pacer for a huge six.

Talking about Starc, he will be under huge pressure to deliver in IPL 2024 as well due to his huge price tag. In the IPL auction last year, KKR made Starc the most expensive player of all time by signing him for a staggering amount of Rs 24.75 crores.
