Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter Sunil Narine played his best innings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 against Rajasthan Royals. The 31st match of the tournament between the two teams is taking place at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. 

Sunil Narine, who opened the innings, oozed his class with the bat at Eden Gardens and made the crowd go berserk. The all-rounder played a magnificent innings for his team against Rajasthan Royals and put the Kolkata Knight Riders in a dominating position in the 31st game of the tournament. 

Sunil Narine came out all guns blazing and showed no mercy on the Rajasthan Royals bowlers. He made a mockery of the best bowling lineup in the league and made them look clueless. He took the likes of Trent Boult, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Ravichandran Ashwin to cleaners and smashed them all over the park. 

Sunil Narine was at his brutal best as he exhibited a high-class power-hitting display. The opening batter made sure that he continued his golden touch in the league and came up with his best batting display and slammed his maiden ton in the league. 

Sunil Narine brought up his century in 49 balls and made sure that he put his team in the driver's seat. As he completed his ton, the opening batter was elated with the effort and celebrated with his West Indies teammate Andre Russell, who was at the other end. 

Not only Sunil Narine himself, Kolkata Knight Riders owner Shah Rukh Khan, who was in the stands, also erupted in joy. He sent a flying kiss to the opening batter for magnificent effort with the bat and lightning up the Eden Gardens in Kolkata with his brutal batting display. 

Not only this but mentor Gautam Gambhir was also delighted with Sunil Narine hitting a century. He came on the ground during the strategic timeout and hugged the batter for his effort.

Sunil Narine ends with innings of 109 runs 

Sunil Narine ended with an innings of 109 runs off 56 balls. He batted with a strike rate of over 194 and also hit 13 fours and 6 sixes in his knock. His carnage at the Eden Gardens was ended by Trent Boult, who produced a peach of a ball to send the batter packing. 

Trent Boult bowled a pinpoint yorker to which Sunil Narine had no clue. The batter cleared his front leg and tried to whack it across but missed. The ball went on to crash into the leg stump. After he got out, he received a standing ovation from the crowd for his effort. 

Apart from Sunil Narine, Angkrish Raghuvanshi (30) and Rinku Singh (20*) played a crucial innings for the team. Based on the collective effort Kolkata Knight Riders posted a big total of 223 runs on the board at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. For Rajasthan Royals, Avesh Khan and Kuldeep Sen picked two wickets each.
