There are no doubts that Shubman Gill is one of the emerging stars in Indian cricket. The right-handed batsman has cemented his place as an opener in the Indian team and has become a regular member of the national side. With his brilliant performances, he has also gained a lot of popularity among Indian cricket fans.
In IPL 2024, Shubman Gill was named the new Gujarat Titans skipper after Hardik Pandya left the side. Gujarat has also done a decent job under his captainship in IPL 2024, winning 3 games and losing 3 out of 6.
In their previous away game against Rajasthan Royals, Gujarat Titans pulled down a mammoth chase of 197. While the chase looked challenging ahead of table toppers Rajasthan Royals, Gujarat showed fantastic teamwork to win the match on the final ball by 3 wickets.

Shubman Gill played a major role during the gigantic chase vs RR. The GT skipper slammed 72 runs off 44 balls as an opener. After the victory in Rajasthan, the Gujarat Titans team returned to Ahmedabad for their next clash against Delhi Capitals.
The team was welcomed at their team hotel in Ahmedabad. As Shubman Gill entered the hotel, one of his female fans could not control her happiness. She was delighted to see him and her gestures were caught in a video. Have a look at the video below.

Post the victory against Rajasthan Royals, Shubman Gill heaped praises on teammates Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan, who executed a great job towards the end.
"I would have loved to finish the game, but very happy with Rahul and Rashid bhai for finishing the job for us. Winning the ball off the last ball is always a great feeling. He (Rashid Khan) is someone who you always want in your team, he is such a competitor", he said.

Shubman Gill looks in amazing form
Meanwhile, Gill has showcased a stunning form in IPL 2024. In 6 games, the GT opener has mustered 255 runs averaging 51.0 and a strike rate of 151+. He also slammed two stunning knocks- 89 not out vs Punjab Kings and 77 vs Rajasthan Royals. Notably, Gill was the highest run-scorer last season and won the orange cap.
With 3 wins and 3 defeats out of 6 matches, Gujarat takes the 6th spot in IPL 2024 points table with 6 points. They will next take on Delhi Capitals. The GT vs DC encounter will be played on Wednesday, April 17 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
