Rajasthan Royals (RR) opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is not only in the headlines for his poor form but also for his keenness to meet Bollywood superstar and co-owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Shah Rukh Khan. Well, Yashasvi will never forget the day, Tuesday, April 16.

It was a dream come true moment for India’s talented batter when he finally got to meet Shah Rukh Khan after his team, Rajasthan Royals (RR), 2-wicket win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 31st match of the ongoing IPL 2024 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Tuesday.

Actually, after the KKR vs RR IPL 2024 match at the Eden Gardens, Yashasvi Jaiswal expressed his excitement to meet the Bollywood superstar. As the iconic actor arrived at the ground to meet players from both teams, KKR and RR, Jaiswal eagerly awaited his chance to meet SRK.

When Yashasvi Jaiswal meets Shah Rukh Khan in Kolkata 

In a video posted by the Rajasthan Royals (RR) on their social media handles, Yashasvi can be seen asking Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) players for help in meeting King Khan, as he said: "Shah Rukh Sir Se Milaao Yaar". Finally, the moment arrived when the 58-year-old actor came to Jaiswal and warmly met the youngster.

They warmly embraced each other and shook hands. Despite KKR's loss in the match against RR, the Bollywood superstar and the team co-owner looted cheerfully as they also posed for a picture together. The video, capturing Jaiswal's excitement over meeting King Khan, has quickly gone viral on social media.

Meanwhile, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) are currently standing at the top of the IPL 2024 points table with 12 points from 7 matches. They have won six of their seven games so far in the tournament. Speaking about Jaiswal’s form, the Rajasthan opener has managed only 121 runs in 7 innings in the IPL 2024.

However, the Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals (RR) are likely to continue to stick with their struggling opener and expect him to come good at the later stage of the event, as they are now a few wins away from securing a place in the top-four in the ongoing IPL 2024 final.

Yashasvi Jaiswal needs to play his natural game

Recently, former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra urged the Mumbai Indians (MI) senior opener and Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma, and Rajasthan Royals (RR) Director of Cricket, Kumar Sangakkara, to talk to Yashasvi, especially about his approach to his struggle in the tournament.

The cricket commentator feels Yashasvi is not playing his natural game, and that’s why he is struggling to score runs in the ongoing IPL 2024. On the other hand, RR skipper Sanju Samson, opener Jos Buttler, and all-rounder Riyan Parag are in stunning form with the bat.

With 318 runs in 7 innings, Parag is the highest run-getter for RR, while Samson and Buttler have so far amassed 276 and 250 runs, respectively, for the team in the tournament. The Royals will next face the Mumbai Indians (MI) on April 22 in Jaipur.
