India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal reacted to Ben Duckett’s comment which the England batter made during the recently concluded Test series between the teams. He said that he doesn’t want to say anything about it and focuses on what he can do best.

Yashavi Jaiswal was one of the main reasons why India dominated the Test series against England. The batter despite being young carried the Indian batting lineup and was by far the best batter in the series as he oozed his class in all the games and helped India win.

Yashasvi Jaiswal played aggressive cricket all throughout the series and made England taste their own medicine. The batter made sure that India got off the valiant starts in all the games and broke quite a few records in the five games that were played.

Yashasvi Jaiswal left a mark in the first game of the series as he slammed an 80-run knock in the first match. After that, he followed it up with two double centuries and then concluded the series with two half-centuries in the last two games.

As Yashasvi Jaiswal was going great guns in the series, England batter Ben Duckett made a huge statement related to the batter. He said that with the way the Indian batter played, England deserved a lot of credit for that. He had stated after the Rajkot Test:

“When you see players from the opposition playing like that, it almost feels like we should take some credit that they’re playing differently than how other people play Test cricket. We saw it a bit in the summer and it’s quite exciting to see other players and other teams are also playing that aggressive style of cricket.”

Now after the end of the series, Yashasvi Jaiswal has reacted to Ben Duckett’s comment and royally ignored it without paying much attention. He said that he just wants to try to do whatever he wants to do. Speaking to Indian Express, he explained:

“I don’t want to say anything about it. I just need to try and do whatever I can do on the ground that says the best I can do.”

Those shots were in my mind – Yashasvi Jaiswal on hitting three consecutive sixes to James Anderson

Yashasvi Jaiswal showed no mercy on the England bowlers. One of the highlights of the series was the batter hit James Anderson for three consecutive sixes in the Rajkot Test. While talking about the same, he said that he had those shots in his mind as he was on top of his game.

Yashasvi Jaiswal further added that he always tries to give his best against any bowler he faces. Speaking about the same, he explained:

“Those shots were in my mind. I knew I could hit him when I got set. It was in my mind that when I’m on top of my game, I will get him. Get him in the sense, not only him, but any bowler. If I’m going after someone, I will go one hundred percent.”

Yashasvi Jaiswal ended the series as the highest run-getter and maintained a huge distance from the second-leading run-getter. He amassed 712 runs to his name and became only the second player from Team India to muster over 700 runs in the bilateral Test series.
