After losing the first ODI, the Ireland Cricket Team bounced back brilliantly in the next match on Thursday. Paul Sterling and Co. beat West Indies by 5 wickets in the second ODI to level the series 1-1. Ireland would be keen to continue the winning momentum and thereby win the series.

Ahead of the third and final ODI, here’s a look at our predicted playing 11 of the Ireland Cricket Team against West Indies.

WI vs IRE: Ireland’s Predicted Playing XI vs West Indies, West Indies vs Ireland 2022, 3rd ODI

Openers: William Porterfield and Paul Sterling

Ireland’s experienced duo of William Porterfield and Paul Sterling played vital cameos in the last game. The former scored 26 off 29 deliveries, while Paul Sterling managed 21 off 15 balls. For Ireland to win the game, either of them needs to give the team a good start and go on to play a big knock with the bat.

Middle-Order: Andy McBrine, Harry Tector, Curtis Campher

Andy McBrine played an instrumental role in Ireland’s win in the second ODI. He picked 4 wickets with the ball and also scored a vital 35-run knock off 45 balls. Ireland would be hoping that he replicates a similar performance on Sunday.

Harry Tector stepped up with the bat in the last game with an unbeaten match-winning 54-run knock off 75 deliveries. Whether he would continue his good run in the next game remains to be seen. Curtis Campher hasn’t really set the stage on fire but with not a lot of players available to replace him, one can expect the team to stick with him.

All-rounders: Neil Rock, George Dockrell, and Gareth Delany

Neil Rock didn’t get the chance to bat in the last game and you expect him to don the gloves for the next game. Dockrell made only 5 runs with the bat and picked 1 wicket for 11 runs in 3 overs. Garethy Delany hasn’t bowled in the series yet but might be used in the last game. Ireland could also send him higher up the order to give him more time at the crease.

Bowlers: Mark Adair, Craig Young, and Joshua Little

Craig Young was brilliant in the last game. He ran through West Indies’ top-order, picking the first three wickets. He finished with figures of 3 for 42 in 8 overs. Joshua Little also supported him brilliantly as he returned with 2 wickets for 40 runs in 10 overs. Mark Adair though had a forgettable day and he would look to make better returns in the next game.
