Kathmandu Gurkhas Cricket Team 2024
Kathmandu Gurkhas are a professional franchise T20 team based in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. The Kathmandu-based outfit is one of the eight teams that will be participating in the first edition of the Nepal Premier League.
Kathmandu Sports Development Venture are the owners of the Kathmandu Gurkhas. The Kathmandu Sports Development Venture bought Kathmandu Gurkhas for NPR 3.33 crore. Kathmandu Gurkhas were the second costliest team in the auction.
Nepal star Karan KC is the marquee player of the team and will also lead the side in the Nepal Premier League 2024. Karan KC has played 57 ODIs and 75 T20Is so far, taking a total of 176 wickets. He has also scored close to 1000 runs in international cricket. Basanta Shahi is the head coach of the team.
Kathmandu Gurkhas will open their campaign in the Nepal Premier League on December 2. They will be taking on Chitwan Rhinos in their first game. Their last league game is against Biratnagar Kings on December 15.
