He joins Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Siraj in the pace attack as Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami have been rested.
“I’m very grateful for the opportunity because it gives me another chance to rub shoulders with the greats, learn from them and add to my skillset,” Prasidh Krishna told TOI.

England tour helped me polish my skills and work on my consistency: Prasidh Krishna
Prasidh Krishna has experience of being in the Indian dressing room. He made his ODI debut earlier in the year at home against England. He then flew to England with the Test contingent, first as a reserve bowler and was then drafted in the main squad as well.
The Karnataka pacer explained that spending time alongside the senior seamers has helped him grow a lot and “set the vision” for his career path, gaining plenty of confidence as he learned about bowling in English conditions.
“The tour helped me a lot because bowling in England required different work ethics and it was a good platform to learn. I believe that tour gave me a lot of confidence and also helped me evaluate at what level I was and set the vision for how I want my career to pan out in the future.
“It helped me polish my skills and work on my consistency. To play at that level, we require an X factor and I worked on it. It also taught me how to handle pressure,” he added.
