A hilarious incident took place in the second Test match of the two-match Test series between India National Cricket Team and New Zealand National Cricket Team at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Sunday, December 5 as the spider cam got stuck during the match and Indian players were seen having fun with it.

The bizarre yet funny incident happened in the 4th over of New Zealand’s second innings as the spider camera got stuck around the short mid-wicket region and it was unable to move and Indian players including Srikar Bharat, Shreyas Iyer, Mohammed Siraj, and Ravichandran Ashwin were seen having some fun around the spider cam also Suryakumar Yadav was seen checking the camera before umpires signalled for an early tea break, due to the incident and at tea, New Zealand were at 13/1.

Chasing the humongous target of 540 runs skipper Tom Latham was dismissed by star off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin in the 4th over and he was able to score only 6 runs off 15 balls. Then Daryl Mitchell who is playing as a replacement for injured Kane Williamson joined Will Young on the crease and both the players were looking decent out in middle.

Earlier on Day 3, India started pretty good as India reached 100 runs milestone in 164 balls. Meanwhile, Mayank Agarwal was dismissed by Ajaz Patel in 32nd over and he was able to score 62 runs. Then Shubman Gill who suffered a forearm injury while fielding joined Pujara on the crease the latter was also dismissed after scoring 47 runs. At Lunch, India were at 142/2 with Gill 17* and Kohli 11*.

After the lunch, India decided to continue batting and Kohli and Gill completed a half-century partnership in 89 balls. Meanwhile, Rachin Ravindra broke the partnership by dismissing Gill at the score of 47 in the 60th over to become New Zealand’s second wicket-taker of the match after Ajaz Patel. Then Shreyas Iyer came out to bat and smashed a couple of sixes and became the 13th wicket of Ajaz Patel. Also, captain Kohli didn’t survive for very long as he was knocked over by Rachin Ravindra in the 63rd over.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha was caught by pacer Kyle Jamieson off Rachin Ravindra’s deliver in the 67th over of the innings.

Meanwhile, Axar Patel smashed 41 runs at a strike date of 157.69 and after losing the wicket of Jayant Yadav in the 70th over India decided to declare having the huge lead of 539 runs and Ajaz Patel had the bowling figures of 14/225.
