India captain Rohit Sharma became only the second player to score sixty or more sixes against four international teams in the history of cricket on Wednesday, January 18. The Indian opening batter reached the milestone when he scored his second six against New Zealand in the first ODI of the three-match series at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

Earlier in the match, Rohit surpassed MS Dhoni’s long-standing record for most sixes at home, breaking it with a lofted drive over extra cover for a six off the bowling of Henry Shipley in the third over of India’s innings. The 35-year-old has now scored 60 or more sixes against Australia, West Indies, and Sri Lanka, with New Zealand as the latest team to join the list.
