Talking about records, Gill broke Virat Kohli’s record to become the first Indian batter to score 300-plus runs in a three-match ODI series. Also, he equalled Pakistan captain Babar Azam’s record for most runs in a bilateral 3-match ODI series. Babar scored 360 runs in 2016 against West Indies.

Notably, before a sensational ton in the third ODI, Shubman Gill had stunned everyone with his remarkable double century in the ODI series opener in Hyderabad. He smashed amazing 208 runs off 149 balls, including 19 fours and 9 sixes, to become the youngest player to score a double century in ODIs.

Also, in the second ODI in Raipur, Gill scored unbeaten 40 runs off 53 balls, including 6 fours, to help India chase down the small 109-run target.
