Marcus Stoinis is an Australian allrounder who has represented Australia in both the white-ball formats in international cricket.

In domestic cricket, he has represented Western Australia and Victoria while in the Indian Premier League, he has represented Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Delhi Capitals, and Lucknow Super Giants.

Marcus Stoinis' IPL career began in the year 2015. Marcus Stoinis' first IPL team is the Delhi Capitals. Stoinis, however, could not play any game in his debut IPL season and was also released by Delhi Capitals. In a 2016 auction, he was bought by Punjab Kings.

In his first season with Punjab Kings, Stoinis played 7 games and scored 146 runs in addition to taking 8 wickets. Ahead of the IPL 2018 mega auction, Stoinis was released by Punjab Kings but was once again bought by them through the Right to Match card.

In 2019, Punjab Kings traded Stoinis to Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The Australian plied his trade for RCB for just one season before being released.

In the 2020 auction, Stoinis was re-signed by Delhi Capitals. Stoinis went on to enjoy a stunning season with both bat and ball, helping Delhi Capitals qualify for the IPL final for the first time in their history.

He scored 352 runs and picked up 13 wickets for the Delhi-based outfit. In 2021, Stoinis had a forgettable outing and was released by Delhi after that season. In the 2022 mega auction, newcomers Lucknow Super Giants signed him up.

In his first season with Lucknow, Stoinis scored 156 runs and picked up 4 wickets. In IPL 2023, he enjoyed a stunning season. The all-rounder scored 408 runs and picked up 5 wickets as well. In 2024, he impressed with the bat once again, scoring 388 runs including a match-winning century against defending champions Chennai Super Kings in their backyard.

In 2018, Punjab once again signed him up for a whopping amount of INR 6.20 crores. In 2020, he earned a contract worth INR 4.80 crores from Delhi Capitals. Later in 2022, Lucknow Super Giants secured Stoinis' services for INR 9.20 crores.
