Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi face-off in the second match of PSL 2022. The seventh season kicks off on January 27 after a lot of deliberation from the PCB. All eight teams are looking forward to a tight contest this season. A total of 34 matches will be played this season, across two venues in Pakistan, National Stadium, Karachi, and Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
Peshawar Zalmi finished third on the points table in PSL 2021 while Quetta finished last in the league stage. The season was won by Multan Sultans who beat Peshawar in the final by 47 runs to win the title.

Peshawar will be led by premier Pakistan pacer Wahab Riaz. The side has a good mix of international stars with reputed players from the Pakistan international cricket team. Ben Cutting, Liam Livingstone and Hazratullah Zazai are some of the reputed international players while Shoaib Malik, Kamran Akmal and Usman Qadir are the premier local players. The experience in the side can take them the distance this season.

They look a better side on pacer than Peshawar with plenty of good local and international players. They also have a better depth in their side than their opposition. A new season and with the side that they have they can think of going the journey.
