Apart from his big-hitting skills, West Indies legend Kieron Pollard is also known for his gun fielding. Pollard, who has retired from international cricket is only seen playing T20 leagues all around the world and plays the role of batting coach for the Mumbai Indians. The veteran all-rounder has been one of the best in the world with both the bat and ball, however, he has won hearts with his amazing fielding as well.

During the Pakistan Super League match between Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars, Kieron Pollard grabbed a flying bird from the air on the boundary. On the 3rd ball of the 13th over, while playing against Mir Hamza, Lahore batter Jahandad Khan tried to slam a short-pitched delivery down the ground.

Jahandad Khan connected the ball well and at one it looked like he would clear the fence. However, he ended up finding Kieron Pollard at long off. Pollard jumped in the air and grabbed a one-handed catch. The West Indies legend jumped in the air and caught the ball, however, while noticing he was crossing the boundary, he threw the ball in the air. At last, it was an easy catch for him when he came back and caught the ball.

Kieron Pollard took the same sort of catch while playing for the Mumbai Indians during the IPL 2014. In Mumbai’s match against Rajasthan on Monday, Kieron Pollard produced an incredible catch on the boundary to remove Kevin Cooper from the game. Despite facing some very formidable opposition, many have already dubbed it the tournament’s biggest catch.

To pluck the ball with his right hand from long range, Pollard first leaped high into the air. However, the impact of the shot knocked him off balance, and it appeared as though he would topple over the border.

However, it was easy for Pollard to catch the ball against LQ whereas he had to dive in the Indian Premier League to remove Kevon Cooper.

Lahore Qalandars were able to put up a score of 175/6 while batting first at the Gaddafi Stadium against Karachi Kings. Sahibzada Farhan played an unbeaten innings of 72 runs from 45 balls and smashed four fours and fours sixes during his stay at the crease. Rassie van der Dussen, Shai Hope, and George Linde scored 20 to 30 odd runs and were able to help the team reach a decent first innings total. Mir Hamza, Hasan Ali, and Tabraiz Shamsi picked 2 wickets each for Karachi Kings and put up a decent bowling display.

Lahore Qalandars, who are also the defending champions of the tournament, are currently sitting at the bottom of the table with three losses from three games. Qalandars would be wanting to their match against Karachi Kings and achieve their first win of the tournament.

The ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League began on February 17 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and will end on March 18 at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi. The tournament features six teams, including the Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi, Karachi Kings, Islamabad United, and Quetta Gladiators.
