Former Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq was brutally trolled by anchor Fakhar-e-Alam on live television after he praised MS Dhoni‘s captaincy. The former Pakistan captain was praising MS Dhoni for his captaincy and said that the India legend knows how to get the best out of his players.

Misbah-ul-Haq said that the wicketkeeper-batsman has the talent of using even ‘aadha bowlers (part-time bowlers)’ to perfection. He opined that MS Dhoni could do with part-time bowlers what other captains could not even do with their main bowlers.

“MS Dhoni was a master in using half bowlers to perfection,” said Misbah-ul-Haq on A Sports.

And even before he could complete his sentence, the anchor interrupted him and came up with a hilarious comment, telling him: “Who would know about it better than you.”

Misbah-ul-Haq decided to ignore the comments from the anchor and further said: “Mohammad Rizwan is like that.” The Pakistan great was analysing Mohammad Rizwan’s performance as a captain in the ongoing Pakistan Super League 2024 (PSL 2024). Under Rizwan’s captaincy, Multan Sultans opened their campaign with three wins before losing against Peshawar Zalmi on Friday (February 23).

When MS Dhoni outplayed Misbah-ul-Haq:

Misbah-ul-Haq suffered several heartbreaking losses against MS Dhoni’s India. In the final of the 2007 T20 World Cup, he was at the receiving end of Dhoni’s masterclass. The former Pakistan captain could not score 13 runs in the final over or 6 runs in the last 4 balls bowled by newcomer Joginder Sharma.

Dhoni had picked Sharma because of his lack of pace and had stationed S Sreesanth perfectly at short fine leg. With Sreesanth standing at short fine leg, Misbah-ul-Haq went for a scoop shot but ended up miscuing his shot straight to the fielder due to the bowler’s lack of pace. In 2011, Pakistan lost the semifinal of the ODI World Cup against India. In the 2015 World Cup, Misbah-led Pakistan lost against India once again.
