Babar Azam moved to Peshawar Zalmi from Karachi Kings last season and reached the second qualifiers with the team but was sadly defeated by Shaheen Shah Afridi’s Lahore Qalandars.

This season they are expecting to win their second title in the competition. The Peshawar Zalmi won the PSL title in 2017 and have been the runners-up three times in 2018, 2019, and 2021. They will be expecting to win their first title under their new skipper Babar Azam.

The Pakistan Super League is almost halfway to the finals and the current top four teams are Multan Sultans, Quetta Gladiators, Peshawar Zalmi, and Karachi Kings.

Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars are in the bottom two and the defending champions, Lahore Qalandars are still waiting for their first win of the season as they have lost five out of five games in the season.

Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars are the two most successful teams in the PSL with two titles each but this season, they are at the bottom and are not looking like a threat to the other sides.
