The IND vs SA T20I series will be played between June 9 to 19 across five different venues starting with the first T20I in Delhi. The following four games will be held at Cuttack, Vishakhapatnam, Rajkot, and Bangalore on June 12, June 14, June 17, and June 19 respectively.
The Test squad saw the return of Cheteshwar Pujara while the T20I squad for South Africa saw a few players being included despite not having a good IPL 2022 season. The overall T20I squad looks a formidable one with good balance in all three departments of the game. The southpaw had a forgetful IPL 2022 batting at the top of the order for Kolkata Knight Riders. He finished the season with 182 runs from 12 matches with just one fifty-plus score the season. He was not used regularly with the ball as well. It is doubtful that Iyer will get too many opportunities with the kind of presence of the other Indian players.
