Avesh Khan, a young Indian fast-bowler, praised Indian head coach Rahul Dravid for believing in him and supporting him despite his failure to take a single wicket in the first three games.

Avesh, who made the Indian team after his performances with the Delhi Capitals in the IPL last year, was incapable of finding wickets in the first 3 matches but was supported by management.

The Indore-born 25-year-old took four wickets for 18 runs in Rajkot on Friday (June 17), tying his best T20I numbers and keeping India equal in the five-match series with South Africa.

And the speedster credited head coach Rahul Dravid for his performance, stating that he provides the team’s players a lengthy run and plenty of opportunities to demonstrate their worth.

“Over four games, the team has not altered, so kudos to Rahul (Dravid) sir.” He believes in giving everyone an opportunity and aims to give them adequate time to succeed. He doesn’t really remove a player after a or two poor performances because one or two games are insufficient to appraise a player. Everyone is receiving enough opportunities to show their worth.”
