Aakash Chopra believes Shreyas Iyer to score runs in the 5th T20I between Team India and South Africa, which will be contested in Bengaluru on Sunday, June 19.
The two teams enter the game with everything on the line, with the series tied at 2-2. Shreyas will be hoping to make a significant impact before heading to England to join the Indian Test team.
In a video posted to his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra anticipated that Ishan Kishan and Shreyas will make a significant contribution with the bat.
He observed: “I believe Ishan and Iyer will score more than 55 runs. Please, Iyer, be on fire. Please score runs today; I believe that the person will score runs.”
Aakash Chopra believes Quinton de Kock will be South Africa’s star batsman.
Chopra reasoned: “Quinton de Kock will be South Africa’s leading run-scorer in this game because his success is inextricably linked to his. He decided to give up, did not run at all in the last game, for reasons I do not understand.”
Aakash Chopra on Rishabh Pant:
Aakash Chopra was especially irritated by Pant’s repeated dismissal of nearly identical fashions. He noticed:
“At the present time, India’s best batsmen in T20s are all keepers. It is an intriguing situation to be in. More than Rishabh Pant’s type, he is unable to respond to the strategy devised against him, which is the big question, as they are constantly bowling outside off stump and he is getting trapped.”
Pant has only 57 runs in four games, with a 14.25 average and a strike rate of 105.55. The stand-in Indian captain will be hoping to make a big impression in the series finale on Sunday, June 19 in Bengaluru.
