Dodda Ganesh, a former Indian cricketer, criticised India’s experimenting during the third Twenty20 International match against South Africa on Tuesday at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. To prevent the sweep, South Africa defeated the hosts with ease by a score of 49 runs in the last match.
In order to give Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant, who didn’t have much of an opportunity to bat in the first two games, some game time, India rested its top batsmen KL Rahul and Virat Kohli for the final match.
The absence of Rahul and Kohli, though, prevented India from reaching the enormous 228-run target. Pant, who began the innings in Rahul’s absence, hit a couple of incredible sixes but was unable to convert them into a significant total. For 27 off of 14 balls, he was declared out.

While Shreyas Iyer was given the chance to bat at number three but failed to take advantage of the opportunity and was out after one.
Ganesh criticized India’s experimenting harshly, saying it was unnecessary because Rahul and Kohli will be playing in the T20 World Cup.
“So the experiment has backfired. Wonder what India achieved by playing Iyer and Pant in this game in place of Rahul and Kohli who’re certainties in the Xl for the WC. DK is the first-choice keeper. So this experiment technically made no sense #DoddaMathu #CricketTwitter #INDvSA,” he tweeted.
