Indian Cricket Team suffered defeat in the 1st ODI against South Africa. The Men in Blue would be dejected as the batters failed to show character in the middle. India lost the match by 9 runs and if the team could have got a couple of partnerships then the result of the match could have been different.

South Africa on the other side would be thrilled as winning against any Indian Side is never easy especially when India is playing in their home conditions. The Proteas would be well aware of the fact that they need to work on their death bowling. They should have won the match by at least 30 runs as they were in a commanding position.

Keshav was seen interacting with reporters ahead of the 2nd T20I match. “I would not call it a second string Indian side. India have so much talent that they can field four-five International Sides. Having said that , a lot of guys have IPL and International Experience. There are world class performers out there,” said Maharaj.

It’s always nice to play against India. Obviously, you want to prepare yourself. They have a world class batting line up,” he added

Great Chance for South Africa

The Proteas would like to seal the Series in the 2nd ODI itself and most importantly grab 10 World Super League Points. Each and every match for South Africa is crucial as they can’t afford to experiment. South Africa should not get complacent as India would be ready for all sorts of uphill challenges in the 2nd ODI match.

India on the other side would expect Shikhar Dhawan to get a big score as the batter knows how to pace the innings in the ODI format. His presence till 30th over means that India is setting a formidable total on board. The left-handed batter will have to make the most of these remaining 2 ODIs to make a case for himself for ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.
