The second IND vs SA T20I will be played at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on June 12, Sunday. South Africa is leading the series 1-0. India, on the other hand, will look to level the series heading into the second ODI. 

Indi lost a Test and an ODI series against South Africa earlier this year. They lost the Test series 2-1 and the ODI series 3-0 against South Africa. Now, they will aim to avenge their earlier defeats on home soil.

The T20I series at home thus brings a massive incentive for the Indian team with the T20 World Cup to look forward to. Rishabh Pant is leading the Indian side after KL Rahul was ruled out with an injury. His captaincy decisions were hugely debated after the first game.

South Africa last played a T20I series long back in September last year. South Africa toured Sri Lanka and bagged a huge victory in the T20I series. South Africa defeated the hosts in all the three T20I games to bag a clean sweep in the series.

The Proteas won the first game by chasing a record total. 212 is the highest is their highest successful run chase in T20Is bettering their previous best of 206. They have all the momentum heading into the second T20I and their payers in form as well. David Miller and Quinton De Kock will have a big role to play in the remaining games.

The weather conditions for the IND vs SA second T20I in Cuttack will be around 35 degrees in the morning. In the evening the temperature will be around 27 degrees with a partly cloudy sky. Monsoon is setting in the eastern part of India which means there is always a rain threat around Orissa this time of the year. 

The last T20I hosted at this venue was in 2017 between India and Sri Lanka. South Africa has previously beaten India in a T20I here in 2015. Overall, India have lost four T20Is against South Africa in India. 

The Barabati Stadium is a relatively low-scoring ground with the average first innings score of close to 140 and the average second innings score of less than 100. This ground has hosted just two T20Is to date.
