IND vs SL: Watch - Charith Asalanka Gets Undone By Trademark Jasprit Bumrah Slower Delivery

Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah pulled out his trademark slower delivery to provide the breakthrough for the Indian team on Day 3 of the first Test against Sri Lanka.
Overnight batters Charith Asalanka and Pathum Nissanka had done well to keep the Indian bowlers at bay in the first hour. Nissanka survived a dropped chance off Ravichandran Ashwin while Asalanka made it through nervy edges and plays-and-misses.
It needed a special delivery from Bumrah to finally get rid of a stubborn Asalanka. The Punjab pacer dished out a lovely off-cutter that completely deceived Asalanka, who played down the wrong line.

It hit him on his thighs, which led to the umpire declining the vociferous appeal from the Indians. Rohit Sharma finally went for a review which then revealed that the ball was crashing into the top of the off-stump.
The wicket also caused a mini-collapse soon after, as Sri Lanka lost both Niroshan Dickwella and Suranga Lakmal to Ravindra Jadeja. They were already in a precarious position and things worsened as the day moved on.

With more than 8 sessions left to be played in the match, it will take a miracle for Lanka to survive, let alone turn the match around in their favour.
