Star Sri Lanka National Cricket Team pacer Dushmantha Chameera, who plays all three international formats for his team, has been ruled out of the second and final Test match of the two-match Test series against Rohit Sharma-led India National Cricket Team.

Meanwhile, Chameera was not part of Sri Lanka playing XI in the first Test, where Sri Lanka suffered a humiliating defeat against India by an innings and 222 runs. Notably, India had posted 574/8d on the board in their first innings and Sri Lanka were bowled out for 174 and 178 in the second and third innings of the match.

A Sri Lanka journalist took to Twitter to state that the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has confirmed that the star pacer Dushmantha Chameera, who has played 12 Tests for the national team, will not participate in the second Test against India, which will be a pink-ball Test.
The journalist added that the medical panel of Sri Lanka Cricket has advised the team to manage Chameera’s workload and only play him in One Day Internationals and T20 Internationals until the World Cup.
