In the 1st innings on Day 3 of India vs Sri Lanka 1st Test, Ravindra Jadeja grabbed 5 wickets in his kitty. The all-rounder dismissed Dimuth Karunaratne, Niroshan Dickwella, Suranga Lakmal, Vishwa Fernando, and Lahiru Kumara. In the 1st innings, Jadeja bowled 13 overs and grabbed 5 wickets. With his wicket, Sri Lanka also got all out for just 174.

Earlier while batting, Ravindra Jadeja also slammed an unbeaten 175-run knock in the 1st innings. Batting at no.7, Jadeja the left-handed batsman smacked 17 fours and 3 sixes to score 175 runs off 228 balls. He also stitched 100-plus partnerships with Rishabh Pant, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Mohammed Shami.
