Indian left-handed wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan has been ruled out of the third and final T20I against Sri Lanka after he sustained a concussion during the second game on Saturday.

Kishan was struck flush on his front grill by a 147 kmph delivery from Lankan pacer, Lahiru Kumara. He was visibly stunned by the hit but he played on before being dismissed.

Soon after, he was sent to get a CT scan where everything was normal. However, as a precautionary measure, he will not be available for selection in the final T20I. Mayank Agarwal was called up to the squad ahead of the 2nd T20I and he could feature in the playing XI for the final game.

The Lankans batted first and they set up a competitive total of 183 on the board. Pathum Nissanka scored 75 off 53 balls while Dasun Shanaka played the match-changing innings of 47 off 19 balls.

In the run chase, the hosts lost skipper Rohit Sharma in the first over itself. However, Shreyas Iyer was once again brilliant at No.3 as he counter-attacked his way to 74 off 44 balls and ensured that India went over the line.
