Twitter Reacts As Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara, Wriddhiman Saha And Ishant Sharma Get Dropped From Test Team

Senior Indian middle-order batters Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara have been dropped from the Indian Test squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka National Cricket Team.
Also, the chairman of India’s selection committee Chetan Sharma has said that the selectors had a chat with the senior batters before the decision was made and they have been told to score runs in the ongoing season of the Ranji Trophy.

Notably, India’s No.3 in Tests Cheteshwar Pujara scored just 124 runs in India’s last Test series against South Africa at an average of 20.66 and Rahane scored just 136 runs in the three-match Test series against South Africa at an average of 22.66. Recently, former Indian Test vice-captain Rahane smashed an incredible century against Saurashtra in Ranji Trophy.
Also, senior Indian pacer Ishant Sharma and wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha have been dropped from the Indian Test squad and they also have been told to perform well in the Ranji Trophy 2022.
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma has been appointed as the new captain of the Indian Test team and star pacer Jasprit Bumrah will be his deputy in the longest format of the game.
