India whitewashed Sri Lanka in the three-match T20I series recently, winning their 12th consecutive T20I match and sharing the record for the most consecutive wins with Afghanistan and Romania. This was also the third straight series in which India had white-washed their opponents and in the post-match fun, Yuzvendra Chahal was seen making fun of Mohammed Siraj’s hairstyle on Chahal TV.
Before Sri Lanka, India had white-washed New Zealand and West Indies at home in T20Is and previously won their last three league matches in the T20 World Cup 2021 as well. Rohit Sharma took over the full-time India T20I captain from the New Zealand series onwards and became the full-time India captain in all three formats ahead of the Sri Lanka series.
Mohammed Siraj, who has been warming the bench for the last few matches, was given a chance in the third and final T20I of the series in Dharamsala. After the match, which India won quite comfortably thanks to Shreyas Iyer’s unbeaten fifty, his third of the series.
Yuzvendra Chahal Makes Fun Of Mohammed Siraj’s Hair
BCCI, on their official Twitter account, shared a video of Yuzvendra Chahal conducting an interview with the Man of the Match and Player of the Series Shreyas Iyer for Chahal TV. Iyer, who scored 57*, 74*, and 73*, was being interviewed by Chahal when Mohammed Siraj gatecrashed the session.
Chahal, always the funny one, started roasting Siraj for his hair and joked that his hair looks like he has stopped watering the grass.
“Aap inke baal dekhenge, aisa lag raha hai jaise ghaas mai paani nahi diya gaya, ghaas sookh gaya hain (Look at his hair, it looks like no one has watered the grass for a long time and it has dried up completely),” he said.

This led to all the three players laughing at Siraj and Chahal asked him if it is true that you go to the haircut salon before every match. On this Siraj said that there is nothing like this. That’s how I get my hair cut. It has no logic.
India will now prepare for the two-Test matches against Sri Lanka which begin on March 6 in Mohali, which will be Virat Kohli’s 100th Test for India.
