However, he is playing his first international game at his home ground in the first ODI of the three-match series against the Tom Latham-led New Zealand National Cricket Team at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad.
Siraj was heading into the match with great form. He had bowled extremely well with the new ball while defending the target in the third ODI at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday, January 15, against Sri Lanka. Siraj finished his spell with the figures of 10-1-32-4, unfortunately missing out on a well-deserved 5-wicket haul.

“I am very happy because it will be my first international match at my home ground. I just want to say to the fans that ‘see you soon in Hyderabad’,” Siraj had said after the clean sweep against Sri Lanka.
Mohammed Siraj Cleans Up Devon Conway To Bag His Maiden International Wicket At Home Ground
The 28-year-old seamer Mohammed Siraj dismissed the Kiwi opening batsman Devon Conway on the 4th ball of the 6th over to pick his maiden International wicket at his home ground.
The local lad bowled three balls seaming away, before bowling a short-length ball on the 4th ball, pitching outside leg-stump. The Kiwi opener played a pull shot off the bouncer, but only managed to get a top edge and was caught by Kuldeep Yadav at the fine leg. Meanwhile, Siraj’s family members looked delighted after his first wicket of the match.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, India posted a humongous total of 349/8 in 50 overs. Shubman Gill’s sheer dominance while Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav’s decent contributions helped India reach the mammoth total.
