Perth Scorchers Cricket Team 2025

Perth Scorchers is a Big Bash League (BBL) cricket franchise representing the Western Australian city of Perth. Founded in 2011, they played their home games at the iconic WACA Ground from 2011 to 2018. Since 2018, they have been playing their home games at the Perth Stadium.

Perth Scorchers' journey in BBL so far:

Perth Scorchers are the most successful side in the history of the Big Bash League. No other BBL team has managed to win more trophies than them.

The Perth-based outfit has won the BBL a record five times, two more than second-placed Sydney Sixers. They are also the first side to defend their BBL title.

Perth Scorchers began their BBL journey in a dominating fashion. In the first season, they finished the league stage at the top of the points table and qualified for the final before losing to Sydney Sixers.

In the second season, they once again made it to the final but ended up on the losing side once again.

They finally went all the way in the third season before defending their title in the fourth season. In 2015-16, Perth Scorchers finished at the third spot in the points table after the league stage and exited the competition at the semifinal stage.

In 2016-17, they finished at the top of the points table and went on to win the title to become the first team to win the BBL three times. In the 2017-18 season, they finished the league stage at the top of the points table once again but failed to go past the semifinal stage.

In the next two seasons, Perth Scorchers endured poor outings and crashed out at the league stage before bouncing back in style. In 2020-21, they finished runners-up before winning the following two seasons. In the 2023-24 season, the Perth-based outfit finished at the third spot.
