The Ashes Cricket Series 2021-22

The Ashes is a Test Cricket series played biennially between England and Australia. The term originated after a satirical obituary was published in a British newspaper, The Sporting Times, following England's defeat against Australia at the Oval in 1882. It was Australia's first Test win on English soil.

The Ashes 2021-22 took place in Australia from December to January. Australia dominated England, securing a 4-0 victory to retain the Ashes. The hosts won the first three Tests before England managed to salvage a draw in the fourth Test to avoid another humiliating whitewash in Australia. The home team went on to win the fifth Test comfortably.
