Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have succumbed to two successive defeats in a row and they will be facing in-form Chennai Super Kings in their next encounter tomorrow. This will be a big test for them considering the powerhouse Chennai Super Kings are and Kolkata needs to make sure that they get back into winning ways. So far, Kolkata has won one game and has lost the remaining two games in their campaign.

The only positive for them would be that Andre Russell looked to have got back his touch in the previous game. Prasidh Krishna and Pat Cummins have bowled well but their wicket tally hasn’t been that great but the likes of Eoin Morgan and Dinesh Karthik haven’t managed big scores yet. Here are 3 stars from Kolkata Knight Riders who will be game-changers against Chennai Super Kings.

3 Stars From Kolkata Knight Riders Who Will Be Game Changers:

Nitish Rana:

The left-hander Nitish Rana has been the standout batsman for the Kolkata Knight Riders so far and he has continued his good form from the domestic circuit into the tournament. He has been giving good starts to the team as well as been hitting the big shots at the much-needed times.

His 80 in the first game against Sunrisers was crucial in setting up the total for Kolkata Knight Riders and backed up with a good performance against Mumbai Indians scoring 57 off 47 deliveries in a 153 run chase. However, he perished early in the previous game with the asking rate going up for just 18 runs. He has been one of the positives for Kolkata Knight Riders despite their losses and a lot will be expected from him against the Chennai Super Kings.

Eoin Morgan:

Eoin Morgan is another batsman that hasn’t fired yet for the Kolkata Knight Riders and he is facing the heat already being the captain of the team. He scored 29 off 23 balls in the previous game with two sixes but still hasn’t gone on to play the big innings that can change the match around.

He is an excellent T20 player and one of the best six hitters in the world. His captaincy is one of the best in the business but he needs to contribute more with the bat as the likes of Sunil Narine and Ben Cutting are waiting in the wings. This is the best time for him to play an impact inning and take his team to victory after their consecutive losses. He has shown in the past that he can be a match-winner.

Pat Cummins:

Pat Cummins has had some decent outings with the ball but it is time for him to step up and deliver a lot more for the team. He bowled well in the last game picking up the important wicket of Glenn Maxwell and gave away only 34 runs in his four-over spell in a high-scoring game.

Cummins was bagged in the auction for a hefty amount and he is expected to pick up a lot of wickets which hasn’t happened yet. The number one test bowler still can be a match-winner in the powerplay as well as in the death overs and Kolkata will also look to him as the lead bowler in the team. He has been getting good support from the likes of Prasidh Krishna and must make sure he gets a lot more breakthroughs.
