Making an international debut is a dream come true for any player. It takes a lot of effort to get a chance in the national team, and even more to stay in the team for long. Many players manage to get a spot in the national team but fail to come up with a consistent show, due to which they find their way out of the team.

In Indian cricket too, there are some players who were given a chance in the national team, however, they could not perform in their starting games and had to be ejected from the squad. Here we talk about 5 such undeserving players who played international cricket for India in the last 5 years.

Umran Malik is the first name on this list. The right-arm pacer made his international debut in June 2022 in the T20I series against Ireland. With his ability to touch 150+ kmph consistently while bowling, he was given an opportunity in the national team.

However, his three games against Ireland did not go well. He picked 2 wickets in 3 games but conceded runs at an average of 12.44. Hence, Malik still needs to build his strength while bowling.
