1. MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni is unarguably the greatest captain India has ever produced. He is the only captain in the world who has won all three ICC trophies. MS Dhoni made his arrival a little late in international cricket. However, he ensured he made full use of the opportunity when got the chance to represent the country.

For the unversed, MS Dhoni holds a bachelors degree in commerce. Besides, he has also worked as a ticket collector at Kharagpur Railway station.

In his international cricket career, MS Dhoni has managed to score 10,773 runs in 350 ODIs at an average of 50.6.

2. Virat Kohli

It’s been more than 2 years since Virat Kohli has not hit a century for India. However, it doesn’t take away the fact that he Is as one of the best batsmen in the current era.

Virat Kohli has scored runs consistently for India and currently, he has more than 12,000 runs in ODIs. He was also the captain of India’s under-19. Given the fact that has been playing the sport since his childhood, studies had to get affected. Virat Kohli did his schooling at Vishal Bharti Public School and later shifted to Savier Convent to his cricket practice. He didn’t go to college in a bid to focus fully on his game.

Rohit Sharma has recently become the new full-time captain of the Indian Cricket Team in T20 internationals. In his first assignment as a full-time captain, Rohit Sharm registered a 3-0 clean sweep against New Zealand. They would look to continue the winning momentum ahead of the next T20 series.

Rohit Sharma completed his primary education at Our Lady of Vailankanni High School. He was later admitted to Swami Vivekananda School on scholarship. Rohit Sharma never went to college as he was adamant to make a career in cricket.

India’s greatest cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar needs no introduction. Nobody holds as many records as him in the game. He made his debut in international cricket at the tender age of 16.

There was no point he could even complete his high school. All his focus since his childhood was on cricket. He would play the game every day and spend most of his time playing the sport. He completed his schooling at Shardashram Vidyamandir. However, he couldn’t go to college as he got became a regular in the Indian Cricket Team.

5. Sourav Ganguly

A stylish tall left-handed batsman, Sourav Ganguly scored a century in England against England on his Test debut. He never looked back thereafter.

Ganguly made plenty of records and also went on to become of the greatest captains India have ever had. He imbibed the belief of winning the matches overseas. Under his leadership, India went on to reach the final of the ICC 2003 World Cup. Notably, Ganguly was pretty good in academics as well. He did his graduation from St. Xaviers College of Kolkata.

In his illustrious cricket career, he scored 11,363 runs in 311 ODIs at an average of 41.00

Popularly known as the Wall of Indian Cricket, Rahul Dravid holds a special place in the hearts of Indian cricket fans. A never-say-die spirit, Rahul Dravid is known for producing miraculous victories for India.

As far as his academic qualification is concerned, Rahul Dravid completed his schooling at St. Joseph School. He further did his graduation in commerce from St, Joseph College in Bangalore. For the unversed, Rahul Dravid was doing his MBA from St, Joseph College of Business Administration when he received his maiden call-up into the Indian Cricket Team.

7. Anil Kumble

Very few would argue the fact that Anil Kumble is the greatest spinner India has ever produced. A true match-winner, Anil Kumble has singlehandedly won India matches with his heart-warming spells.

Kumble holds the record for picking the third most number of wickets in international cricket. In 403 matches, he has managed to pick 956 wickets at an average of 30.09.

As far as his academic qualification goes, Anil Kumble completed his graduation with B.E in Mechanical Engineering from RV College of Engineering.

8. VVS Laxman

VVS Laxman was part of India’s rock-solid batting line-up in the 2000s. He was an integral part of that batting line-up. Batting in the middle-order, Laxman helped India recover from collapse on numerous occasions.

Years have passed but India still hasn’t managed to find a replacement in the middle-order in Test Cricket.

VVS Laxman played 134 Tests and 86 ODIs during his international cricket career, scoring 8781 and 2338 runs respectively.

VVS Laxman did his schooling at Little Flower High School, Hyderabad. After completing his schooling, he gave a thought of pursuing a medical degree before choosing cricket as his final destination.

9. Ravichandran Ashwin

A couple of months earlier, Ravichandran Ashwin himself would have not thought in his wildest dream that he would represent India in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. As fate would have it, he was not only picked in the squad but was part of the playing XI.

While he is an integral part of the Test set-up, Ashwin has made his comeback in the T20 cricket as well.

Ravi Ashwin was as good in academics as he was in cricket. Very few people know that the Indian spinner holds a degree a B Tech degree in Information and Technology from Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering.

10. Rishabh Pant

Ever since he made his debut for India, Rishabh Pant has grabbed the attention of cricket fans due to his aggressive batting approach. Apart from receiving praise for his destructive batting, Pant has received criticism in equal measure. Currently, he is part of the Indian team in all three formats.
