West Indies Duo Of Stafanie Taylor And Hayley Matthews Make Jump In The ICC Women’s ODI Rankings

The West Indies duo of Stafanie Taylor and Hayley Matthews has made a jump in the ICC Women’s ODI batting and all-rounder rankings respectively.

The West Indies duo was recently seen in action in the Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier. Taylor has moved into the top ten of the ICC Women’s ODI batter rankings and she is currently placed at No.9 with 676 points under her belt.

Also, she successfully retained her No.4 spot in the women’s all-rounder ranking and has 319 points in her bag. The three all-rounders above Taylor are Marizanne Kapp (384), Natalie Sciver (372) and Ellyse Perry (365).

Talking about Hayley Matthews she has moved to her career-best rating point of 272 in the Women’s ODI all-rounder ranking and she is placed alongside Katherine Brunt and Jess Jonassen at the No. 8 position.

Stafanie Taylor Performed Great In The Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier vs Ireland

West Indies skipper Taylor performed well for the team in the Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier game against Ireland, she managed to bag 2 wickets by giving away just 15 runs.

Also during the chase of 160 runs, she managed to smash unbeaten 41 runs off 54 deliveries to help her side win the game by 6 wickets. After the chase, she surpassed Heather Knight, Rachael Haynes and Laura Wolvaardt in the rankings to move to the ninth position in the rankings.

Hayley Matthews also looked sensational in the match and she was able to bag 2 big wickets in the match and gave away only 20 runs in her 10 over quota.

Other than the West Indies duo, Zimbabwe and Pakistan players have also made big moves in the rankings. Bowlers Sharne Mayers (+24), Francisca Chipare (+14), and Loreen Tshuma (+18) made big jumps and from Pakistan Sadia Iqbal (+14) and Fatima Sana (+16), Anam Amin (+8) climbed to 32 on the bowling rankings.
