IND vs WI: I Thought There Was More Space Behind Me – Ravi Bishnoi On His Catch Of Nicholas Pooran Near The Boundary That Resulted In A Six

Young Indian leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi, while talking about the catch he grabbed of West Indies batsman Nicholas Pooran near the boundary rope that resulted in a six, said that he had thought there was more space behind him and hence he took the extra step.

The 21-year-old leg-spinner delivered an incredible performance in his international debut match. In his 4-over quota, Ravi Bishnoi gave away just 17 runs at an economy of 4.25 and he dismissed two West Indies batters.

He picked both his wickets in the same over, which was the 11th over of the West Indies innings. Debutant Ravi Bishnoi dismissed Roston Chase, who only managed to score 4 runs off 10 balls and Rovman Powell who scored 2 runs off 3 balls.

Meanwhile, Ravi Bishnoi after his amazing bowling performance in the T20I debut said that he was nervous and excited for the match. The 21-year-old added that he was just trying to bowl stump to stump and avoided giving room to West Indies batters. Speaking to host broadcasters Ravi Bishnoi said:

“Now it is fine (his heartbeat). I was a bit nervous and excited. I had thought there was more space behind me and hence took the extra step (on his catch). I was just trying to bowl stump to stump and not give them room because they have the power to clear the boundary. The dew is there but it is a good total and the ball was sticking early on but will come on nicely now because of the dew.”
