Rohit Sharma has begun his ODI captaincy with a six-wicket win over West Indies on Sunday. He was exceptional with both his leadership and batting. After West Indies were bundled out for a score of 176 runs in the first innings, Rohit Sharma gave the team a sensational start in second innings. He scored 60 runs in just 51 deliveries, a knock which was laced with 10 fours and 1 six.
The skipper would look to carry his form in the upcoming matches as well. Mayank Agarwal will have completed his quarantine period before the start of the second ODI and is likely to open the batting alongside Rohit Sharma in the second ODI.
Middle-Order: Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Suryakumar Yadav, and KL Rahul
Virat Kohli played an uncharacteristic knock of 8 runs in 4 balls in the last game. He didn’t look at his usual self and it will be interesting to see how he goes about his way in the next game.
KL Rahul missed the first ODI but has joined the squad to play the next game, which means that Deepak Hooda would be excluded from the playing XI. The presence of Rishabh Pant, Suryakumar Yadav, and KL Rahul makes India a formidable batting unit.

Washington Sundar made an impressive international comeback on Sunday. He picked three crucial wickets and conceded only 30 runs in 9 overs. One can expect him to have a similar kind of impact on Wednesday as well. Shardul Thakur looked a bit off-colour with the ball as he went for 38 runs in his 7 overs without a wicket to his name. There is a possibility that he might be replaced with Deepak Chahar, however, chances are less unlikely.
Bowlers: Mohammed Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Prasidh Krishna
Having said that, the standout performer with the ball was Yuzvendra Chahal. He spun a web around the opposition, picking 3 wickets for 30 runs in 9 overs. Given the match is going to be played on the same ground, he is likely to once again pick the most wickets for India.
