India have already sealed the T20I series against West Indies by a 2-0 margin and will be playing the final match on Sunday at Eden Gardens Stadium. One can expect a few changes taking place in the playing XI.

For those of you who don’t know, Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant have already left the bio-bubble and won’t be available for the next game. They will be replaced by a couple of other cricketers for the game on Sunday. In this article, we take a look at India’s predicted playing XI for the third and final T20 match against West Indies.

Openers: Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan

Skipper Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan are, once again, likely to open the innings for India on Sunday. Rishabh Pant isn’t available for the third match and, thus, Ishan Kishan should don the wicket-keeping gloves.

The duo is yet to stitch a valuable partnership in the series. Ishan Kishan has struggled badly, having endured low scores in both games. Whether he bounces back strongly in the final match remains to be seen.

Middle-Order: Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Deepak Hooda

Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant have been released from the bio-bubble and thus Suryakumar Yadav is likely to come at number three position. He was brilliant in the first T20I but got out cheaply in the last match. Suryakumar Yadav would be looking to end the series with another useful knock for India.

Shreyas Iyer and Deepak Hooda are likely to make the playing XI for the third T2OI. Both haven’t been given the chance to showcase their batting prowess in the T20 series. It will be interesting to see how they play pace their innings on Sunday.

All-rounders: Venkatesh Iyer, Harshal Patel

Venkatesh Iyer has lived up to all the expectations in the series thus far. He has been brilliant with the bat. In two matches, he has contributed two useful knocks and helped India take a 2-0 lead in the series.

Iyer, though, hasn’t bowled a lot and it will be interesting to see if Rohit Sharma give him a few overs to ball in the next game. Besides, Harshal Patel too is likely to make the cut. He was brilliant in his final two overs in the second T20 international and the management must give him all three games in the series.

Bowlers: Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav and M Siraj

Deepak Chahar has been expensive and failed to make an impact in the series. He could be replaced with M Siraj on Sunday. Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s experience served pretty well for India in the last game. He was brilliant both in the power play and at the death overs and returned with figures of 1 for 31 in 4 overs.

He is, once again, expected to lead the fast bowling attack along with M Siraj and Harshal Patel. With India already won the series, they might give Kuldeep Yadav a game and rest either one of Yuzevendra Chahal or Ravi Bishnoi.
