Ahead of the third and final match of the ODI series, here’s a look in detail at how both teams have performed thus far.
IND vs WI: Match Preview, India vs West Indies 2022- India vs West Indies 3rd ODI
India:

Playing his first ODI series as full-time captain, Rohit Sharma is off to a fantastic start. On Wednesday, India won the second consecutive ODI of the series and, thereby, clinched the series as well. The bowling unit has done exceedingly well in both games. They bundled out West Indies for just 176 runs in the first game and 193 in the second match.
Prasidh Krishna has been the standout performer with the ball. He produced a sensational display of fast bowling in the last game, giving away only 12 runs in 9 overs and taking 4 wickets. Siraj too has bowled pretty well and the duo is, once again, expected to share the fast b0wling duties in the final match. Yuzvendra Chahal too, has been brilliant, having managed to pick 5 wickets in the series. However, with India having already won the series, they might want to rest him and give Ravi Bishnoi a chance.
KL Rahul, on his comeback, played a valuable 49-run knock in the second ODI. Despite Shikhar Dhawan not being available for the second ODI, India persisted with KL Rahul at number four, which means that he will be batting in the middle-order in ODIs going forward. Rishabh Pant was given the chance to open the innings in the last game. However, he failed to make it count.
With Shikhar Dhawan expected to make his comeback, Pant is likely to bat in the middle-order for the third ODI. Shreyas Iyer too is available for the third ODI, however, he might able to make it to the playing XI. Suryakumar Yadav, who played in the first two games made great returns with the bat and is unlikely to be dropped for the last game.
West Indies:

Batting has been the biggest concern for them in the series. Despite having a number of talented batsmen in the batting unit, West Indies succumbed to low scores in both games. Shai Hope and Brandon King were guilty of not giving ideal starts with the bat, while the likes of Darren Bravo and Nicholas Pooran didn’t impress a lot either.
The lower-middle made runs in both the games. Kieron Pollard didn’t play the last game. He is expected to make his return to the side. Odean Smith, who played in place of him was brilliant both with the bat and ball. He is unlikely to be dropped for the third game.
The bowling unit, in contrast, has been brilliant. Kemar Roach came up with an improved bowling performance in the last game, while the likes of Akeal Hosein and Alzarri Joseph continue to impress one and all. You don’t expect any changes to take place as far as bowling is concerned.
