West Indies have played four matches on the tour of India so far and are yet to win a single game. After losing the ODI series, West Indies lost the first match of the T20 series on Wednesday. West Indies managed to score 157 runs in the first innings but failed to defend that. India chased it down in 18.5 overs.

IND vs WI Dream11 Prediction

Kieron Pollard and Co. will be playing the second game on Friday and will look to exhibit better performance with both bat and ball. In this article, we have compiled our predicted playing XI of the West Indies Cricket Team for the second ODI.

IND vs WI: West Indies’ Predicted Playing XI Against India– India vs West Indies 2022, 2nd T20I

Openers: Brandon King and Kyle Mayers

Kyle Mayers played aggressively and gave the team a solid start in the first ODI. He hit 34 runs in 21 balls in the last game and the team would expect him to play well in the next game as well. His partner, Brandon King, however, got out after hitting a four. Both are expected to open the innings in the second ODI as well.

Middle-Order: Nicholas Pooran, Roston Chase, Rovman Powell, Kieron Pollard

Nicholas Pooran returned to form with a brilliant 61-run knock in 43 balls in the last match. His good form is a positive sign for the team but he needs to ensure that he replicate a similar performance in the next game as well.

Rovman Powell failed to impress in the last game and we know what he can do with the bat. Expect him to be part of the playing XI as well. Roston Chase starred with the ball in the last game as he gave just 14 runs for 2 wickets in his 4 overs. He too is unlikely to be dropped for the next game.

Kieron Pollard, perhaps, didn’t do the right thing to send Fabien Allen above himself in the last game. He remained unbeaten on 24 off 19 in the end. Heading into the next game, you expect him to come early in the batting order.

All-rounders: Akeal Hosein, Odean Smith, and Jason Holder

Akeal Hosein is a valuable asset for the team. He can contribute with both bat and ball and should be part of the playing for the next game as well. Hosein went wicketless in the last game but he bowled well alongside Roston Chase in the middle-order.

Romario Shepherd had a forgettable outing in the last match and, thus, he could be replaced with Jason Holder on Friday.

Bowlers: Fabien Allen and Sheldon Cottrell

West Indies have a great depth in the batting line-up. Fabien Allen, who can also bat, came at number 10 in the batting unit. He didn’t make a significant impact with the ball but, perhaps, there weren’t enough runs on the board either.

On a pitch where the ball is gripping and turning, West Indies are unlikely to drop Fabien Allen in the next game. Besides, Sheldon Cottrell should complete the playing XI.
