Asia Cup 2018: Rashid Khan and Mohammad Shahzad Takes a Picture With Viral Kid

Afghanistan talisman leg-spinner Rashid Khan and opening batsman Mohammad Shahzad went on to take a picture with the little Indian fan. The little kid could not hold his emotions after the match ended in a tie. Consequently, the little boy was seen crying when Ravindra Jadeja picked the only man in the deep off the penultimate ball. Since then the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Harbhajan Singh have consoled the young Punjabi boy.

Meanwhile, the match went down to the wire as Afghanistan was able to hang by a thin thread. Mohammad Shahzad who also took time to take a picture with the kid, went on to score his fifth ODI hundred.

Shahzad batted in the topmost gear as he brought his hundred in just 88 balls. The combative right-hander scored 124 off just 116 balls.

Thus, the right-hander scored almost half of the team’s runs as Afghanistan put a competitive total of 252 runs. On the other hand, Indian innings was going hunky-dory as the opening partnership was worth 110 runs. However, India lost the plot as they lost quick wickets.

In fact, India was the prey of some poor umpiring as two decisions went against them. However, India didn’t have any reviews left as KL Rahul wasted one early on in the innings. Thus, the luck was not on India’s side.

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni captained India for the 200th time in the ODI format. Therefore, Dhoni was able to complete the milestone.

On the other hand, Ravindra Jadeja would have been disappointed as he had done the hard work in getting India close to the target. Jadeja decided to play the second last ball in the air and had to pay the price.

India will meet the winners of Pakistan and Bangladesh in the final of the Asia Cup.
